You're one of my favourite writers on medium, Rick. Honestly, since I wrote this article and posted it on a few Facebook groups, it generated a lot of discussion. I'm not stubborn or precious about my views, and can easily be swayed if somebody makes a valid argument. I've actually learned a lot since writing. Not everybody had been particularly kind, saying I should "check my ego", etc. but a lot of people have provided thought-provoking comments.

Though it's impossible to truly know, I do think Eckhart may be completely detached from money. As my friend said, "he doesn't grasp it or push it away". I may be approaching the situation in a less spiritually developed way—who knows?
