I am reminded of the Peripatetic school: how the act of walking was conducive to philosophical inquiry.

Also of this wonderful quote from Piero Ferruci:

“Inspiration comes whenever it wants, even at the most unlikely times and in the most inappropriate situations. Often it arrives bit by bit. Therefore it must be anchored, and this is where a most valuable item makes its appearance: the notebook.”

Writing routines can be necessary, but equally necessary is the need to occasionally break them.
