Why I Always Read Your Medium Articles

Ok, I admit, the title may be a bit misleading.

When I say I always read your Medium articles, what I mean is this:

If I start reading your article, I will ensure that I finish reading it.

At some point in my life (I’m not sure precisely when) I decided to take up arms against instant gratification. No longer would my attention span be at the mercy of hordes of funny cats, Halloween pranks, or succulent notifications.

No more, I say!

Let’s not beat around the bush—unless you’re a top writer, Medium isn’t going to pay off that mortgage any time soon.

This is why I always read your Medium articles.

Considering the time and energy you’ve taken to write something, it's only fair that I recompense you with some juicy member reading time. After all, time is money, so hopefully, the minutes I invest can add a few cents to your piggy bank, give you a smidgen of validation, and boost that read ratio!

Heck, I might not even enjoy your article — it could be discussing a subject that doesn't interest me, or I may feel like I’m out of my depth. However, for the sake of the Medium community, I swear by the great lord Mammon, I will finish it!

Call it stubborn, idiosyncratic, or a waste of time, I intend to continue my mission no matter how insignificant its contribution. We Medium writers need all the help we can get, so let's do the community a favor — read, read, read!

If you would like to support me directly you can buy me a coffee.

You can also support me by signing up to Medium using my referral link. Not only do you get full access to Medium, but you will be helping me realize my dream of writing creatively full-time!
