I've seen Heat many times and love it. But upon rewatching for maybe the 5th time, I found Robert De Niro's love interest to be really thinly drawn. She's just a vehicle for the hotshot criminal's character development,and I didn't buy her motivations one bit (why is she agreeing to leave with a guy she just met even though he's shot a dozen cops?). Still, it is a masterpiece.
