I honestly couldn't have hoped for a better response, Elliot. Given how widely read you are, I assumed that may have been the intention behind your writing style. For, I don't believe you can truly read the greats without developing the kind of sensibilities you just conveyed. I'll keep reading your articles, regardless of the semblance of hostility, for they do contain kernels of truth—and sometimes truth can be uncomfortable.

For the record, I still have much work to do, and don't think I'm setting myself up as your moral superior. Sure, I can talk a big game, but I am still often reactive, impressionable, and prone to childish anger. That being said I am steered. like you, towards a more inclusive mode of being. Also, don't feel put out by not giving what you believe is a "proper response". Many writers don't even read their comments. I'm just grateful you responded in the way that you did.
