I guess if you want to write a book, write one. But if you want to succeed as a new writer on this platform you'll struggle if you're work is too complex. It could be a work of genius floundering with under 20 reads, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles. A cursory glance at the top writers' styles and you get an idea of the winning formula. Of course, you need to know how to actually write first (grammar, syntax, structure, etc.). Then you have to find the balance between clarity and integrity.

What I always say about the vocabulary I've acquired over many years: "I learned all the big words to eventually learn when not to use them!"

Anyway, I liked the style of this article. It kept me engaged throughout—which is saying a lot!
