Great article! I feel like it's very easy to apply binary thinking to spirituality. In reality, the path is as messy, paradoxical, and confusing as the human condition.

Some words for you courtesy of Ram Dass:

"A monk was meditating in the mountains for over a decade. He had reached incredibly high levels of vibration/awareness. When he eventually came down from the mountain into the village, someone accidentally bumped into him and he became immediately angry.

If you think you're enlightened, spend a week with your family.

If you're an asshole that becomes enlightened, you'll just be an enlightened arsehole."

Basically, we're all on the human plane for specific reasons. Some have to learn from being finance bros, some have to swing like a pendulum from spiritual rigor to hedonism, and some come here as fully awakened beings.

We gotta all try not to sweat it too much, not take life too seriously, but also commit to growing/learning as much as possible while we're doing it! There is no clearly defined goal.
