What I will say is that your article pressuposes an Anglo-American audience. I take it this was its intention? Many nations will have their own genenration-defining events (the Khmer rouge being an example). Not a criticism, just something that sprung to mind. Food for thought: what defines generations of Amazonian tribes? Is our current model Western centric?
